Zeus

Aphrodite

Hephaestus

Athena

I've long been facintated with the characters in Greek Mythology. In a way, they are some of the world's first "superheroes". I finally decided to paint my own interpretations of these classic figures. These are the first four of what will someday be a full series of all the gods in the pantheon.

What you see here is a piece commissioned for use in promotional posters and signage for an educational animal museum in Western Massachusetts.

For my best friend's birthday, I painted him this picture of Sam and Frodo. If you look close, you'll see a faint red line on the map behind them that follows their journey across Middle Earth.

It's no big secret that I'm a huge Alice Cooper fan. For this painting, I tried to capture the energy of his anthem of youth rebellion, "School's Out".

This is a mixed media painting I created. The background was created by using spray enamel on illustration board. The rocket and the girl are separate elements drawn on marker paper using Pantone Tria markers.

This painting was inspired by the book, Goldfinger, by Ian Fleming. For this personal project, I wanted to steer clear of the popular movie version of Bond and stay true to Fleming's original vision.

This nutty little bat was done as a Halloween decoration. I rendered it with Tria markers and colored pencils with some Photoshop enhancements.

This is the 2005 promotional poster for my buddy Bob's annual Bob-B-Q. The tiki guy mascot leaps into action like he's staring in a Michael Bay film!

Bob-B-Q 2003 - Licensed to Grill. A James Bond theme with some marker renderings and Photoshop magic!

The 2004 Bob-B-Q Poster! For this one I went with a retro 60's go-go type theme.

The first major Bob-B-Q promotional poster I did. This is vintage 2002.

This image you see here was done as a commission piece for a New England based band. They were looking for a 50's diner scene for the cover of their demo cd.

This is my entry to 2003 IronMaiden.com Design a X-mas Card Contest. It didn't win the grand prize, but I did make runner up.

Bob Hope Tribute- I whipped up this caricature the day Bob Hope passed away to show that even a youngblood like myself could appreciate real comedy.
Actually it's not as simple as just one amateur cartoonist admiring a legendary comedian. Bob Hope represents a simpler time in my life when family could sit together and watch the television and enjoy it. Times like that pass and you don't even realize they're gone until you take a moment and look back.
Also, whenever I see Bob Hope footage, I can't help but to think of my grandfather. To me, my grandfather (or Pépère, as us kids called him) was simply the funniest man on the planet. Bob Hope was one of his favorites, and if someone was funny to my grandfather, then, that's all the proof I needed. My grandfather's been gone for some time, now, and to this day the thought of him brings a smile to my face. In a big way, this little tribute to our nation's most beloved comedian, is actually a tribute to my most beloved comedian,
Lucien W. Dupont Sr. 1910 - 1998.
