No matter where life takes me, I try to find something adventurous to do. Probably my biggest adventure was when I biked the entire U.S. east coast. I've also biked across Austria and back. I've gotten hopelessly lost in foreign lands, visited all 50 states, explored caves, and hiked for days on the Appalachian Trail.
One of my stories (Cycling the New Jersey Coast) has also been published in a book called Weekend Journeys. Another was published in the book Cycling's Greatest Misadventures. I've also written some short stories. Alas, many of these adventures took place several years ago, before I got married. So although I've hiked much of the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania, I haven't been on the trail more than once in the past couple years. I used to go caving several times a year, mostly in Virginia and West Virginia, but that too is a rare activity these days. In the winter I still go cross-country skiing whenever it snows. |

I play guitar and years ago wrote and recorded dozens of original songs. The only audience I've had lately, though, has been my wife Felicia, to whom I got married in October 2000. |
