Finals, Summer Plans and Beyond...
As you receive this most of you are already starting your summer plans.
Another school year come and gone.
Time now to relax, and recharge as the pace (hopefully) slows and we are
able to pursue other interests in addition to education.
Steve's plans for the summer include trying to spend more time with my not so
little baby (just turned 15 months Alexander).
In July, I will spend 7 days backpacking in the White mountains in New Hampshire
(trying to get in shape now!)
I will also be completing the second part of a course to become a certified college
admissions counselor.
This certification covers the entire admissions process including completing the
applications, writing essays, knowing how to best "sell yourself" to the college
of your choice, financial aid options, and matching schools and programs to the
students interests and needs.
Make the GrAde is now scheduling summer classes in several topics:
1. SAT (first fall test is Oct. 10)
2. PSAT (Saturday Oct. 17)
3. Summer School (HS and College)
4. Proactive study for fall classes (particularly sciences and math)
5. General Study Skills/Organinzation
6. Elementary Education Skills
7. College Admissions Counseling
8. Using computers (HS and adult level)
9. Adult Education for adults either returning to school, or doing remediation work
We are also scheduling now for fall programs!
