Make the GrAde March 1998 - Newsletter

On April 6, 1998, Make the GrAde will be moving it's offices to a new location in Dresher, PA.
This office will provide a number of positive improvements to the full service tutoring that
Make the GrAde already provides.

The new office will be centrally located about 7 miles (11.2 Km) from our present offices.
The new facility will include:

* a dedicated office which will incorporate computer software and video into the teaching
and learning methods

* accommodations for 1 on 1, and small groups tutoring

* extensive files of tests, worksheets and other support materials for many subjects

With this move comes some logistic changes as well. Effective April 6, the new contact

At Make the GrAde, we help students in a wide variety of subjects.
These include: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Algebra, Geometry,
and some support subjects such as writing skills, writing lab reports, and organization
and study skills, and of course, the PSAT and SAT.

Of all the subjects we prepare students in, the PSAT and SAT remains the biggest enigma.
Most people simply don't know what to expect from the tests, and consequently, do not know
how to prepare for them. There is no shortage of materials that you can use. A trip to
any bookstore will tell you that SAT "help" books are a billion dollar industry now.
At last count, there were 18 different books on the shelves (not including any for the SAT2!).
The Make the GrAde PSAT/SAT plan is simple and straightforward. We teach you
1) what to expect on the test both Math and Verbal - no surprises
2) how to deal with all possible questions on the test - strategies
3) how to be prepared and confident when you sit down to take the test.
4) the best way to prepare for the test is a combination of strategy and practical, hands on
practice.
