Swiss Hazelnut Crescent cookies
A really delicious hazelnut cookie recipe
rolled in Cinnamon sugar coating.
Pre-heat oven to 350F
Cream together very well:
1 cup butter or margarine (softened)
1/2 cup karo light or dark corn syrup
Beat in:
1 teaspoon KCJ vanilla butter flavor 2x
3/4 teaspoon KCJ hazelnut flavor
2 1/2 cups unsifted flour
Stir in:
1 1/2 cups ground hazelnuts, walnuts, or pecans
Chill 1 hour.
Shape dough by rounded teaspoonful into 2" log rolls.
Place 2" apart on greased cookie sheet forming crescents.
Bake in 350 F oven for 15-18 minutes or until bottoms are slightly browned.
Remove from cookie sheet, cool on rack. (Don't over bake).
Roll in cinnamon coating.
Cinnamon coating:
Stir together 1/2 cup vanilla flavored powdered sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
